Nigeria in focus.....

There is a serious political breech going on in Nigeria. The president of Nigeria, Musa Yar'Adua left the country about 80 days ago for a medical check-up in Saudi Arabia and since then has not returned. He was elected as the president in 2007 but just shortly after he resume office, you can tell by his looks that he's not healthy. The President long absence has been attributable to the nature of his ill-health. In his physician’s statement, President Yar’Adua suffered from acute pericarditis, an inflammation of the linning surrounding the heart.

According to the 1999 constitution, the President has the obligation to write to the National Assembly for official leave, thus empowering the vice President to act pending full recuperation. But Up till date, the president has refuse to so, leaving the country in a difficult situation. Now, Nigerians are in a state of confusion over the nation's political direction and foreign policy especially in the case of united States listing Nigeria on a terriorist watch.
